Manrico Montero Calzadíaz is dedicated to the sound documentation and bioacoustics of Flamingo Birds.
There are six Flamingo species worldwide. Manrico has documented all the 4 american Flamingo species, such as: Phoenicoparrus Jamesi, Phoenicoparrus Andinus, Phoenicopterus Chilensis, and Phoenicopterus Ruber Ruber.
He is in the process to document the other 2 species that can be found in Africa and Europa, such as: Phoeniconaias Minor, and Phoenicopterus Ruber Roseus.
Manrico Montero is currently producing and preparing the release of a collection of Books & Dvd dedicated to each one of the Flamingo species, a project to be released gradually in his new Bioacoustics & Audiovisual Arts imprint called "LUX NATURAE".
The first Volume of the Phoenicopteridae Project is dedicated to the High Andean Flamingo Species: Phoenicoparrus Jamesi & Phoenicoparrus Andinus.
Besides the Book Project Manrico is producing a Docummentary Film about the High Andean Flamingo.
